Problem: I wanted to show a slider at the top of my posts/pages,
The sliders I found only let me show certian categories, tags, gallerys,
and weren’t unique to each post/page.
Solution!: Wooslider from woothemes (not an affiliate link)
all I did was add a shortcode to a block above my post that looks like this:
[wooslider slideshow_speed="4.0" slider_type="attachments" limit="10"]
Here is where I found the instructions

WordPress project management and how you can do it yourself
Finally a WordPress project management solution to my problems! for FREE!!
I have tried over 30 different project management tools and systems, some of them being industry leading and expensive, others free and cheap.
I am going with the following solution now as an alternative to Basecamp to save myself $20 and give that additional overview and branding that I can’t do with Basecamp
The other day I was watching a video on my favourite WordPress training site,
It was about WordPress project management and into the almost one and a half hour-long video.
In the video I learnt about the following 2 plug-ins:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/project-status/ – this one is used to display any responses status of the project
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wedevs-project-manager/ – this one is the actual project management plug-in
Here are a couple screenshots of how the backend of the project management looks:

What Benjamin explained in the video is how to make the 2 plug-ins
work together proper professional project management system.
What I see here is a lot of opportunities even for someone who does too much PHP.
I have always wanted a WordPress project management system, and now at least I don’t have to build one from scratch.
Here is a link to the WordPress project management tutorial video
I specialise in helping people solve problems like this, and can help you have your own WordPress project management system, on your own website.

I have found a great plugin package that includes the Types & Views Plugin
The plugins I will talk about in this post are sold by “OnTheGoSystems”, the makers of WPML http://wpml.org/ the translation plugin for WordPress.
Types I have used for over a year now, to make and manage custom fields and custom post types in WordPress.
Views I have just used a couple of times lately on some site I am building at work, but I see a HUGE potential in these two, and their sister plugins.
The kit is called “Toolset” http://wp-types.com/buy/ and include:
* Types – For defining and controlling custom fields and custom post types
* Views – Displaying and filtering content (a bit like loopbuddy)
* CRED – Creating and editing content via forms (a bit like gravity forms)
* Access – Controlling user rights and roles (like a membership plugin)

The whole kit costs $150 which is a fine price.
I am going to make some video tutorials for the Types & Views Plugin in the future, but in the meantime you can see this one I found for you on youtube
And here is a link to OnTheGoSystems’s Youtube channel where you can see their tutorials for Types & Views Plugin
A really good thing about these guys is that they have LOTS of their own professional walkthrough tutorials,
take a look here:

Have a great day! and please remember to share this with your friends/network (if you think its useful for them)

Here is how I Backup WordPress websites and
some ideas on why I use what I use to backup wordpress
What is covered in this guide:
Plug-ins that you can use to backup your website
Solutions to Backup WordPress websites
How I backup my websites (and my clients)
Here are a couple of plug-ins that you can use to backup your website:
BackupBuddy – this is a premium plug-in and works extremely good.
But it doesn’t work on some of the older less professional hosts
BlogVault – this is a really good solution but is a little bit pricey for the beginner.
Unless you have something like a webshop or business website.
This is actually my new favourite and I use it on all my websites and my client’s websites.
All my sites are getting backed up to servers in Germany)
There are many free plug-ins and other services that can do the job.
But if you want the cheapest and free option then you’re not interested in quality.
I only believe in providing you with quality solutions and anybody can find the free options.
Blogvault backs up all my websites once every 24 hours.
It also stores backups going back many days that you can always go back to.
One good thing about blogs is that you can migrate your website having just FTP and MySQL information.
No more MySQL find and replaceā¦
It is really the set and forget solution.
I still use backupbuddy from time to time do the works of GIT just in a more simple way.
To move my sites from development on my local computer to there live home
The good thing about Blogvault compared to BackupBuddy,
Is that it works on even very large websites and all kinds of different hosts even the crappy unprofessional ones,
I hope this helps you find your way to a professional solution to backup wordpress
